Yesterday Google made a great decision of bringing Google Assistance to more Android devices. This was an alternative to Siri, a computer program that works as a knowledge navigator and an intelligent personal assistant. On 26th February, At the mobile world congress, the company had announced that in a week Google Assistance would be launched in U.S, followed by countries like Australia, Canada, and U.K with the English language, as well as in Germany for German speakers.
Google did not make any commitments regarding what will be the exact time of rollout. So yesterday Google made an announcement that Google Assistance is arriving. The A.I power helper is helping to upgrade to Google now, Google earlier proactive alerting and search services.
In Google Assistant, like Siri and Alexa, you can speak using natural language which makes it more human than some other virtual assistant. Tasks such as taking photos, setting a reminder, giving directions, weather checking, the operation of smart home devices and more can be accomplished using it.
But there are some limitations to it like it runs only on the unforked versions of Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and Android 7.0 (Nougat). If you want Assistant on your device from the play store, just download the updated google play services when it arrives.
When the installation is complete just by pressing the Home button you can launch the smart helper similar to Google Now. Even activation of Assistant is really simple, just one phrase is required “OK Google”. Also, have a look on the new Google Assistant on youtube.
