Within 45 years, Artificial Intelligence will be able to do almost all the works done by humans till now.
According to a new study, researchers from Oxford University’s Future of Humanity Institute, Yale University have presented a forecast that in next few decades A.I will surpass humans in almost every field.
The study was carried out by 352 machine learning experts and they have predicted that by 2024 machines will become better at translating languages, by 2026 it will be writing high school essays, by 2027 machines will be driving trucks, and 2031 will be the year when machines will be dominating the retail field.
According to the researchers, by 2049 A.I will be able to write a bestseller, and by 2053 machines will be working as surgeons.
They have also given the 5% percent probability that this rise of Artificial Intelligence will lead to extreme bad outcomes such as human extinction.
For example, Google AI algorithm, AlphaGo has defeated the world’s best Go player in all the three games played against him. Not to forget, Go is considered amongst the most difficult games humans have ever created.
At the same time, researchers also believe that this expansion of Artificial Intelligence will also bring the new set of challenges. “New challenges, both for AI developers and policy-makers, will also arise from applications in law enforcement, military technology, and marketing”, according to the report.
