Stability and Performance improvements have been made in the new release of Atom 1.11. This new version has been released soon after Atom 1.10, five weeks to be precise.
Released in 2014, Atom was intended to be GitHub’s cloud hosted editor. The exciting news about the newest release is that Atom will now be asking for permission before sending any telemetry data. A screen asking for the assistance in order to improve Atom by collecting some information will be prompted if the Atom 1.11 is launched for the first time.
Other improvements have also been made to the new release like the image-view package. Some of these improvements include:

By double-clicking the tabs, the pending state can now be confirmed for the Image View tabs.

Image size such as width, height and size will now be shown in the Status bar.

A bug has been cleared where if multiple images were opened in the same action, the dimensions were shown as zero.
Several other bug fixes and improvements have been made in the new release which includes: Large file warning threshold now has a configuration option, Split Pane menu items have been reverted as how they used to work before and a custom title bar option on MacOS has been made along with other improvements. The Beta version of Atom 1.12 has been released along with the 1.11 with some improvements and bug fixes which include:
