The 3 new programs include:
1. The AWS Service Delivery Program
The purpose of this program is to identify the Technology and Consulting partners who have passed technical reviews and are able to provide services for the customers for a specific AWS service. Consider an example where customer needs the service of Amazon Machine Learning, they can consult with the partners who have earned Amazon Machine Learning partner status so that they can provide validated and tested expertise solutions to the customers. The AWS Service Delivery Program currently enlists more than 150 APN partner solutions which are validated into 15 categories.
2. The AWS Public Sector Partner Program
As the name suggests this program is for the APN partners who have experience and solution to deliver services for public sectors such as government and non-profit customer missions. AWS Public Sector Program already has more than 350 partners since launch, enabling the program to accelerate.
3. The VMware Cloud on AWS Partner Program
AWS and VMware announced that it would provide customers with a software-defined data center(SDDC) which will be running on the most popular robust public cloud, delivered by the pioneers in the private cloud. VMware will be providing this as elastically scalable and on-demand service and will be launching in 2017.
These new programs along with the existing ones will help the companies to concentrate on storage, migration, DevOps, big data and security.
