DeepMind all set for Exploring the “Future of Go” Summit

On 10th April 2017, DeepMind announced that they would be collaborating with China Government and China Go Association. This collaboration is all about bringing  A.I experts from Google and China to discuss the future of AphaGo. DeepMind has arranged this merger for exploring the “Future of Go summit” in Wuzhen, which is china’s beautiful water town.     Last year DeepMind’s AlphaGo had defeated the world’s top go player, Lee Sedol. This was the significant step in the field of A.I, as for the first time world witnessed  a live match between human and computer. The summit is all about different game formats including top Chinese players and AlphaGo.   The game will be including:   “Pair Go”: Here one Chinese player will be competing with the other along with their individual AlphaGo teammate making the concept of learning together clear. “Team Go”:  Over here there is a team of five members consisting of China’s top player and AlphaGo competing to test AlphaGo’s adaptability and creativity. “Ke Jie vs AlphaGo”: This is the master piece of the event of three 1:1 matches between the world’s number one player, Ke Jie, and AlphaGo.   “We’re excited to see what insights this next round of games and discussion will bring, and the challenges this will help us solve together—both on and off the Go board” wrote Demis Hassabis, Co-Founder & CEO, DeepMind in the blog post.
