Facebook has opened Analytics and FBStart for Developers and enhanced Messenger Bots. It has also implemented artificial intelligence in chatbots, which can make use of AI in the service, allowing users to text with the software. This helps users in scheduling calendar meetings or for making a purchase.
A lot of effort has been put into the increasing demand of Messenger as a platform in the current year. 34,000 of these bots are in existence, which is built to feed you news and entertainment information. The main target is to get a significant boost: According to Facebook, it is now letting it’s developers to track bots on its free analytics platform, along with ads and apps.
This approach has made the social media platform to bring its analytics to bot makers/developers for one of their chat apps. According to facebook, they have built around 34000 bots on their messenger. With the assistance of the new tool, bot makers will now be allowed to compute target, demographics and track fans based on metrics such as relationship status, education level, gender, retail consumption and household income.
Mr.Twist also made another statement “We have this belief at Facebook that if you want to grow, it’s not just about acquiring users, it’s about retaining them, about keeping them engaged, about building a better consumer product.” They are taking chance with the users, that they would opt for texting bot rather than call a customer service agent when there is a need for business help.
Chatbots have been created on Facebook messenger with the help of DIY tools, which have surfaced number of applications. On Monday, the company made it official that FBStart program can be used by bot developers, which will benefit start-ups on improving their apps. Developers will now be able to view reports on messages sent, messages received and get to know people who block and unblock your app.
