In the latest Google’s October event 2016, they have announced the new OS “Andromeda” which has the capability of overtaking different OS offered by companies like Apple and Microsoft. It is assumed to be the lone platforms where users can access Google through Laptops, tablets and phones.
This OS is a combination of Android and Chrome OS and will be available on Google Laptops and smartphones which was never seen earlier. This OS is hardware based and will be maintained by Google. As reported in the event it is mainly focused on hardware and smooth compatibility across the Google’s ecosystem. Dennis Jones, CEO of payments technology company Judopay, said this release of OS will have a huge impact on “Digital World”.
Google may allow Android devices to become desktop PCs with full multi-window functionality.
“Handoff” feature for apps was introduced by Apple which was supported by developers- enabling to work on the device and with less effort would be taken up on another device like you will be work on the Mac papers.For Example, you want work on the same document which was leftover in your place, from this feature now you will able continue working on it on your iPhone.there are some limitations for this you need to have the separate desktop app and users would not be allowed to access the complete app library purchased.
“'Continuum ” a feature is similar to Andromeda is being added by Microsoft that allows the OS to dynamically adapt to the device it is running on-this new feature was released recently was enabled for Windows 10 Mobile devices to be located in a dock and utilised like a desktop PC. As a user without any effort, we want to switch the work from smartphones to bigger devices like laptops to do some activity on the relevant hardware, but all these experiences can be with any effort can be reflected on all your devices .
