Google has begun testing of its new Android Instant Apps which was previewed at Google I/O last year. Instant Apps is a new way to run android apps without installation. Google said that the a few of these instant apps will be available for the android users, including applications from Buzzfeed, Wish, Periscope, and Viki. The testing is aimed towards getting users feedback, so that Google can extend the experience to more apps and users.
Instant apps can be termed as a subset of the existing apps which can be launched immediately without any installations. Instant apps can perform all the functionality of existing apps, and instead of downloading a full android app users can tap on Instant apps URL to perform actions immediately.
Google has planned to release full SDK in coming months. Users should update their existing applications to take advantages of Instant apps and modularizing the applications. Thousands of developers have already shown tremendous interest towards Instant Apps.
