The new app named as Fingerprint Gestures lets users use fingerprint sensor actions such as single taps, double taps or swipe to control their smartphones. Earlier, Google has released its Pixel and Pixel XL devices where they have introduced Fingerprint Scanner Gesture. This feature never released officially and in order to download it, the user has to install .apk file manually to their phones.
Fingerprint Gestures, from SuperThomasLab is one of those applications offering the same functionality. This new app lets the user access fingerprint sensor such as single taps, double taps or swipes to control his/her android smartphone.
Users can do swipe down gesture on their fingerprint sensor to pull down the notification shade. Applications of one’s choice can be launched just by tapping on the sensor. It offers many different features and users can choose between these customizations. The application is available for free on Google Play Store and one thing should be noted that some of the action requires root. Apart from these actions, many are there which can be useful if the user is not rooted.
Fingerprint Gestures works on any android device running on Marshmallow or higher. The application will support only those android devices having Google fingerprint API implemented in their fingerprint sensors.
