From today Google is prepared to release the developer’s preview of Nougat 7.1.2. The public beta release will be available to all the eligible devices enrolled in the Android Beta Program including Pixel and Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, Nexus Player, and Pixel C devices. In Android Official Blog, Dave Burke, VP of Engineering explains, “Android 7.1.2 is an incremental maintenance release focused on refinements, so it includes a number of bugfixes and optimizations, along with a small number of enhancements for carriers and users.”
As explained in the blog, the devices which are already enrolled in Android Beta Program then users will receive the public beta update within few days. If the mobile device is not enrolled in Android Beta Program then users should visit android.com/beta and select eligible android phones or tablets. Users will be getting the update soon.
The final release of Nougat 7.1.2 will be available in a couple of months. Nougat 7.0 with its initial release in September is now running on 0.5 percent of android devices.
