MechDome, a Developer tool which converts automatically from native IOS and OS X to your Android app. This tool is basically developed by MechDome a startup company located in California.
Independent Developers had a major challenge for many years in developing cross Cross-platform applications. There was a too much investment in resource and time to learn the new programming language and to develop your applications which are portable on different platforms. Now there is no need for developers to learn the usage of new IDE or API. There is no need of sending your source code only APK file can be sent to MechDome and the compilation of this APK file to standalone binary is done using this automated tool to generate IOS and OS X in seconds so that developer can then add it to the Apple’s App Store.
MechDome’s CEO and founder Mario Kosmiskas told in his latest interview unveiled the tool in action. The tool already produced live applications like RedReader and Sudoku on Apple store to prove it works perfectly.
Android Apps on iPhone, iPad by MechDome
Now unmodified android apps can be converted to native iOS or OS X app by a developer which was the main target of MechDome. When compared to other technologies like Intel’s Multi-OS Engine or Xamarin, there is no need for Android developers to know about the binding of an Objective-C library because tool has the capability of handling this and there no need for UI builder to add changes to your Android App as the MechDome tool has the capability to manage in converting all Android UI elements. Even Android tablet apps can convert them into proper iPad apps.
MechDome has assured that converted Android apps will work in the same way that of users OS familiar with .For Example Android share Menu will now be replaced with native share sheet in iOS, AirDrop can be used if applicable and many more instances like this can be seen from now.

All the hardware functionalities that are required for the use of an Android app will be directly mapped to to use the related hardware in iOS. Software functions are divided into 3 different categories:
- If some functionality is not available on iOS (such as the toast message) will be implemented directly.
- If some functionality is available on both iOS and Android then it is replaced with the relevant iOS method.
- The functionality is there only in iOS but not present in Android like conversion of Apple’s 3D touch is not possible but implementation can be made through the library.
