Developers going for Microsoft’s Bot framework

Microsoft Bot framework has gained more popularity than other Bot frameworks available in the market. Satya Nadella has reported that 45,000 developers are using Microsoft Bot framework and this makes it one of the popular ways to create a bot. This framework lets bots and machine learning to use Skype, Kik, Facebook Messenger, and other chat platform messengers like Facebook Messenger which uses designated framework called Wit.ai bot engine. Around 34,000 developers are building bots on Facebook Messenger as stated by Microsoft Spokesperson. In the month of April, both Microsoft and Facebook Messenger had announced the release of their chat platforms at the same time. Bot platform is used by around 20,000 developers for each platform as of July-mid and as per survey results, Microsoft leads at least by the total number of developers using each framework. According to Nadella the uniqueness of Bot Framework is its versatility. In a tech conference, Nadella told that Microsoft is making an approach where bot you creating is not restricted not only any communication canvas. It’s available everywhere. He has also made bold statements regarding the future of conversational computing. He also went on to say that “call chat” the new interface,” a UI that will be as important as the GUI. Google has taken over tech giants with the inclusion of API.ai, a bot building platform which is used by more than 60,000 developers with the ability to build bots for more than a dozen of platforms. In the latest release of the Google chat app Allo, they gave a brief idea that the API.ai platform will be utilized to get bots to Allo. Tech giants  Google, Apple, Microsoft, and facebook are having wars between them because of Developers are encouraged to use particular platforms.
