Google’s App Engine has announced its latest updates on March 9th, 2017. The updates were disclosed in the Google Cloud Next conference. Now App engine can be used for various applications. Using open cloud platform, developers can build advanced mobile and web applications. They can also add their own frameworks, languages and third party libraries also. It is a fully managed platform where Infrastructure is abstract so the developer can focus only on code.
App Engine has come up with out-of-box features where it has great support for Java 8, plus PHP7.1, Ruby,Node.js, Python 2.7 or 3.5 and.NET Core, both on beta and all are supported by App Engine’s 99.95% SLA. It is made simpler where App Engine’s Runtime lets developers run their favorite language applications and use open source libraries and packages of their choice. Now developers need not worry about the infrastructure issues they just need to add code, this kind of features help organization's increase their productivity.
The Future of Cloud is Open: Want to move his application to various platforms? No need to worry. The developer should take the application and deploy it into a container-based system like the private cloud or Kubernetes on-prem. Earlier developers were restricted to technologies and platforms but now google has brought something unique where they can supply their own customized software applications from different language runtime to frameworks to third party libraries.
