In a recent press release, the electronics giant Samsung has announced the launch of its first processor Exynos i T200 chip, designed for the Internet of Things.This chip allows multifunctionality and has multiple cores to operate Cortex-M0+ independently.
Exynos i T200 Chip is a derivative brand of Eyxnos aimed at IoT devices.This chip, used by Samsung for its smartphone processors, will continue to take forward the brand for IoT, as stated by one of the spokesperson of the company.The hardware subsystem of Exynos i T200 chip allows passwords and backing up of data that prevents the function of illegal copying to security.
“Exynos i T200 is an IoT solution optimized in both performance and security demanded in the IoT market, this will deliver further differentiated value to not only mobile devices but also non-mobile spaces, including automotive and IoT with various offerings of Exynos solution,” said Ben Hur, Vice President of System LSI marketing at Samsung Electronics.
The electronic giant unveiled Tizen 4.0, the latest version of its software platform, which will also be relevant to devices other than smartphones. It also commercialized the Artik brand, which requires cloud platform and modules dedicated to IoT. By expanding 200 billion devices, globally by 2020, IoT expects to grow exponentially.
