Segment has come up with the new update, now it is integrated with BigQuery which is a Google’s low-maintenance cloud platform. BigQuery is the new inclusion to the Segment Warehouses, which makes Analysing of the customer data in SQL easy.
There is no need to build your own ETL process to stream the data from sources like websites, mobile apps and other second–party data sources like Salesforce and Zendesk into the data warehouses. Segment Warehouses designs and loads your data.
Basically, Segment is used for businesses, which helps you in managing the data from various services like Google Analytics, Salesforce, and Mixpanel -and send that data to different destinations if it’s an attribution product or a data warehouse.Hence now it is integrated with BigQuery which overcomes this requirement.

Currently, Segment’s customers go for different options in data warehousing, but Reinhardt told that “around 100 percent” of its enterprise customers do, and use significant self-service side. He also went on to say that earlier data warehousing customers were divided to 50-50 among Postgres and Amazon – but later more than a month of beta testing. BigQuery has already acquired 10 percent of the total.
