At ng-conf 2017, Brad Green, Engineering Director at Google, indicated that TypeScript is now an official language at Google. For developers worrying about Dart status, he clarified that both Dart and TypeScript will be in the same category.
Google will be using both the languages for client side development. As compared to JavaScript/Closure and Java, these languages are not that established. But, Google has been using Dart for 4+ years for unrestricted client development. In addition to that, Google has already used Dart and Angular Dart for number of its products - AdSense, AdWords, shopping, and for its internal tools such as Google CRM.
He said, “Typescript has become allowed for unrestricted client development as of March 2017". Google is using TypeScript and Angular on TypeScript for its famous products such as Google Analytics, Firebase, and Google Cloud Platform including its critical internal tools - bug tracking, employee reviews, and product approval and launch tools. Brad also added, Google codebase has millions of lines of Dart code.
Flutter is one of the prominent cross-mobile platform framework being used in several internal teams at Google including Google CRM and shopping express. The framework is designed using Dart language.
